- It actually spins (we're serious)
- No need to buy any other bits
This one-size-fits-all doesn’t require anything more than what you receive in the box (including instructions). And, it’s absolutely recognizable by anyone and everyone between the ages of 6 and 60.
It’s not available with Amazon Prime, so you’ll need to think about this in advance (and pay extra for shipping). Amazon reviews aren’t available which may put a few people off.
Last year, it was all about Pokémon Go while 2017 was definitely the year of the fidget spinner. Schools across the globe have banned the use of these in classrooms – and yet, children seem to need more fidget spinners every time they see a new one flashing before their eyes (sometimes, actually flashing).
Okay, we admit that these spinners can be super annoying (so was Pokémon Go), but this truly stands out as the costume that represents 2017 best.
We love that anyone, except the youngest members of the family, can wear this, which means it can go to a variety of Halloween parties. And, if you’re creative, you should be able to get one of these on your dog too (please, please don’t harm your animal in any way).
Of course, it’s a tad expensive and it’s definitely not machine washable. But, it’s sure to be a hit – though your kid may become a little frustrated with all the people that want to see if it spins. As a parent of kids with fidget spinners, though, you know all about frustration, don’t you?
Rating out of five:
- Originality: 3
- Scare Factor: 0 (unless you’re ready to lose your mind if you see one more of these)
- Cuteness Factor: 2
- Identifiable: 5
What's it made of? Yep, it’s 100% polyester. Did you expect anything different?
Will you need extra bits? Well, you don’t want to wear just a vest with a fidget spinner on it; we’d recommend some pants – at the very least. But, otherwise, this costume doesn’t require anything else.
Is it hand wash only? Yes, and we wouldn’t try tossing it in the machine. It will be terribly mangled after that experience.
Will it break the bank? At $30, it’s definitely more expensive than most fidget spinners, but hey, this is an interactive costume. If your kid can’t get enough of this trend, then you’ll end up paying for it.
