Lack traction and arch support.
Performance: If you need comfort when running or training, you'll love these bad boys. The thick cushioning built into the heel and midsole reduce impact on your joints and keep your feet from aching even after hours. They're great for running and lifting, and give you good versatility for rapid lateral movements (think plyo training or CrosFit). If you've had trouble with aching knees, ankles, or feet in the past, you'll love the impact-reducing design of these shoes.
These are a great pair of shoes to use if your indoor gym has the typical rubber flooring. The shoes are incredibly comfortable and cushioned, but they lack traction. If you're working out on a concrete floor, you may find yourself slipping and sliding a bit.
Features: The shoes come with an extra thick rubber outsole, with cushioning pods built into the shoe to add cushioning. The pods reduce traction and may affect your stability, but drastically decreases impact on your joints. The cushioned memory foam footbed enhances the comfort and ensures your feet fit snugly in the shoes.
The rubber sole is durable, even on hard surfaces like concrete. The non-marking outsole can handle a lot of use—running, lifting, walking, etc. However, be warned: those looking for better arch support will find these shoes lacking.
Price: $60 is a pretty reasonable price to pay for these shoes, considering how much cushioning and impact-reduction you get from the Skech-Air pods. They're a good pair of shoes to use on those days when you're doing hardcore running and jump training.
