The eXom drone does not use GPS for positioning but five dual sensonr modules that help it stay centered at all times. It has a sensor that bounces sound waves off of the ground to get it's distance from the ground so the autopilot can make sure to stay at those altitudes as it makes adjustments to remain stable. Sensefly has studied bats and insects to come up with these revolutionary proximity sensors that ensure the eXom stays highly stable in the air.
