As with most Samsung products, this dishwasher is gorgeous. But, it doesn't exactly have the heavy duty cleaning power of other machines in the same price bracket. What it does have though is that little information bar just above the handle which tells you just where in the cycle it is. That's a big step up from the other top-input machines that sell for less than $1K. It also has a generous capacity (15 settings) and operates fairly quietly. But, although you may need to rinse your heavily soiled pots and pans first, you will get an ENERGY STAR rated machine with a low annual operating cost: $29 with an electric water heater; $22 with a natural gas water heater. It also has 6 cycles and a hard food disposer. All in, it's a solid buy and absolutely worth the money.
