- Most users fall in love with it
It may be German-designed, but it’s made in China. That’s disappointing given the price.
Yes, it’s expensive. And, yes, it’s the best garlic press if you demand top of the line everything. We know it doesn’t look like much, but the operation is incredible.
If you were to pay the MSRP, you would also want it to mix you a Bloody Mary. But, you probably won’t pay that much if you order from Amazon. And, this German-designed garlic press does what it's designed to do remarkably well. There’s no need to pre-peel the garlic or to guide the press in any way.
The hanging ring is a nice touch, but we love the ease of use more than anything. No wonder this has received German awards and nominations for innovative product designs!
What’s it made of? 18/10 stainless steel.
Does it feature easy operation? The lever is ergonomically-designed to require minimum pressure. The cantilevers apply 5 times the pressure that you exert. That said, those with weaker grips may find they need to use both hands to get started.
How do you clean out the garlic residue? The hinged basket swings out for easy removal of leftover garlic bits; just run under water.
Is it dishwasher safe? It is, and at that price you would hope so!
How much does it weigh? 9.6 ounces.
Any guarantees or warranties? Comes with an impressive lifetime guarantee.
Will it break the bank? With a MSRP of about $60, you know you’re going to need to talk yourself into it. But you’ll be so happy you did – especially when you find it for less on Amazon.
