- Great quality
- Super cute
- Perfect fit
The pieces, sadly, are attached to each other and it’s not the most recognizable (but only as it’s not common to see girls dressed as the Mad Hatter).
Tween and teen girls have it rough when it comes to costumes. Many of the options are too babyish. Conversely, there are a lot of other choices that are too mature or revealing for their age. While the Mad Hatter is an unconventional choice for young ladies, this costume avoids the pitfalls and makes a unique statement.

What’s it made of? Mostly, this is made of 100 percent polyester, but there are also some extra details such as buttons.
Will you need extra bits? If modesty is important to you, then you may want a pair of tights. Otherwise, a tea cup or tea pot would probably help people to more easily identify the character. Otherwise, you get just about everything with this tween/teen costume, including pettiskirt attached to the skirt, tailcoat with attached vest, spat shoe covers, glovelettes, bow tie, and hat.
Is it hand wash only? Yes! And, the manufacturer has provided some strict guidelines about that – no bleach or hot water. You also want to avoid twisting the costume too much as it may easily lose its shape. Basically, this costume is delicate and you’ll be glad it doesn’t need to be worn often.
Will it break the bank? Depending on the size, you will pay between $30 and $40 which isn’t bad for a costume for older kids. But, you will feel a little pinch considering it will only be worn once… maybe twice.
