If you want a high quality baby monitoring device, this is one of the best around. Not only is the picture quality superior to most competing products, but the audio quality (on both receiver and transmitter) is excellent. The wide-angle camera lens allows you to see everything going on in the baby's room, and you can pan, tilt, and zoom the camera using the 3.5" LCD screen built into the parent unit. It uses 2.4 GHz radio frequency to stay connected, and it has an excellent range.
The USB cable makes it easy to plug the devices into your computer or USB wall charger, keeping the battery charged at all times. You get excellent battery life--10 hours with just audio, or 6 hours with video. The camera comes with three interchangeable lenses (normal, wide, and optical zoom), giving you total control over your monitoring. The in-room temperature display keeps you updated on how cold or hot baby's room is, and the two-way talk allows you to talk back to your little one.
At $229, it's one of the highest-priced products on this list. However, there are two things that make it a good option: 1) Amazon is ALWAYS running sales on this best-selling product, so you can often find it as low as $150; and 2) few monitors come with the same features and the same high quality. It may be pricey, but it's absolutely worth it.
