- Beautifully rich, balanced roast
- Great price and flavor
- Expect an amazing crema
While not everyone enjoys decaffeinated coffee, everyone who enjoys coffee should give this one a try. It’s not just for after dinner when you’re still hoping to sleep.
The flavor profile is surprisingly rich – and you might be even more taken aback by the great crema and balanced flavors.
This is made from Arabica beans which are gently decaffeinated and you’ll taste the amazing process. And, it’s also a fair trade product which should make you feel good about buying it as that decaf you keep around, just in case.
Also, we should let you know that we strongly considered the Nespresso OriginalLine Decaffeinato Arpeggio, but no matter what we did, we couldn’t get our taste buds away from the Gourmesso option. Seriously.
Pod type: OriginalLine compatible
Beans, roast, and origins: The Gourmesso brand describes this as mild, but it’s the 100% organic, single-origin Peruvian Arabica beans are gently decaffeinated to retain the flavor you never expected in a decaf.
Flavor and aroma notes: For a decaf, it’s surprisingly rich and full-bodied. What more could you ask for?
Price: At just over $30 for a pack of 50, this is one of the more reasonably-priced capsules on the list. To be fair, it’s not an original Nespresso product, but at just over 60 cents a pop, we’re happy with it. Our runner-up is a Nespresso product and is roughly 20 cents more per coffee – and while it is more intense, we don’t think the overall experience is enough to give it top spot at that price.
