If you're in the market for a new fridge, you might just want to hang on for a few months. GE has announced that they'll release their Café Series French Door Refrigerator with built-in Keurig K-Cup Brewing System in the autumn of 2015. GE, quite rightly, describes this appliance as "unexpected convenience." And, they couldn't be more correct. Even though we've had those water dispensers for ages, who believed that a fridge would brew the perfect cup of coffee too?
This fridge features French door styling (two doors up and your freezer as a bottom drawer). But it does a lot more than chill your food. With its built in Keurig coffee maker, you've got an opportunity to clear some counter space too. And, keeping in line with the push for SmartHome appliances, you can bet that you can set your coffee to brew from your phone (provided, of course, that you've prepped your favorite K-Cup in advance). Water for your coffee is plumbed in and the brewer is dishwasher safe.
If you're looking for full specs, you'll need to hang on for the official release of this fridge. But, GE has already secured an Energy Star rating for their Café Series French Door Refrigerator with Keurig K-Cup Brewing System. And, you can take a look at this video if you're keen to see just how to brew the perfect cup of coffee with your fridge. (Oh, yeah - you should probably know that GE has already released a refrigerator with hot water brewing capabilities. If you're more of a soup person, that could be the thing for you.)
