- Insane battery life
- Customizable screen
The screen on this watch isn't backlit to save battery life, so it's a little hard to see at night. Also, the menu system is backwards from most watches, so it takes a little getting used to.
Features: The GPS function on this watch stays true to the Garmin name with fast, reliable tracking. It also syncs with your smartphone so you can see incoming texts, emails, and alerts. We weren't able to find a ton of information on how durable this watch is, but we didn't find any complaints about damage, either. It is, however, waterproof up to 50 meters, giving it an edge over some of its competitors.
Price: Running Shoes Guru has named the Garmin ForeRunner 230 as one of the top 5 running watches, calling it "a very good running GPS watch at a very competitive price." When a watch beats out a ton of expensive brands at a reasonable price, we'd say that's a great value!
