Chamberlain, who’s battled with acne since puberty went on an Accutane stint for seven whole months.“I have a really love hate relationship with my acne journey and there [were] good and bad moments,” says Chamberlain. With her complexion clear from the intense acne medication, Chamberlain had to maintain her skin claiming, “It actually made me fall in love with skin care in a whole new way.”
The YouTube star’s new and improved skincare routine consists of a Hydrating Hyaluronic Mask, Snail Restore Serum Repair Ampoule & Teatree Relief Serum, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Dewd Hemp Nourishing Facial Oil, and an MD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 46.
Even with her getting skincare tips from her fellow blemish prone parents, She notes that there is no one size fits all approach to skincare, “The crazy thing about skin care that I realized is it is so different for everybody!” Her skincare may work for some but not for everyone.
Chamberlain also reminds the viewers that a healthy diet can also contribute to clear skin. She avoids eating dairy not only for her sensitive stomach, but also to reduce the chances of having an unwanted breakout.
Makeup became a big part of Chamberlain’s life when she first experimented with it as a cheerleader in high school. Now she prefers to go light when applying products to give off a natural and glowing vibe.
“The thing that I’ve learned is less is more and that’s because you watch a tutorial and you realize you don’t need to put the whole bottle of foundation on your hand to make your skin look good,” she says.
Some of her favorite products include Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation & Brightening Concealer. She then proceeds to add color to her face with her bronzer, a touch of blush, a dab of highlight, some lip plumping gloss, eyebrow gel, lip liner, and her Twiggy-esque mascara. Lastly, she adds a spritz of dry shampoo and hairspray to her newly dyed brunette locks and she’s ready to take on her day.
