Best Dyson Canister Vacuum
- Rights itself when toppled
- Adaptor for using older model attachments
- Easy dirt extraction
- Too strong for some rugs and carpets
You might be used to upright vacuums, but there are a few good reasons to make the switch to a canister vacuum.
Firstly, these vacuums are easy to maneuver as your dragging rather than pushing the bulk of the machine around as you work.
But, perhaps more importantly, you don’t need to make the switch to attachments when you want to work around furniture or get underneath pieces that sit a little higher off the ground. (Plus this one as excellent suction power at the edges.)
Together, these make canister vacuums brilliant for homes with a lot of obstacles. With the core components placed in the ball, you really can turn and work quickly.
And with this Dyson canister vacuum, you don’t need to worry about the machine toppling all over the place when you work quickly; it will right itself when that happens, a feature that sets this Dyson apart from competitive brands.
We’re especially fond of the extra attachment you get that allows you to use accessories from older models (and some other brands) with this machine. The retractable cord is another benefit, though it could be longer.
With all the benefits, we feel obliged to mention that this is a heavier machine, which means it’s not necessarily the ideal for anyone that hates lugging vacuums up and down the stairs unless it will live semi-permanently on one floor. But, in no way do we think that’s a deal-breaker for this vacuum; it’s one of the best Dyson has ever made.
