Who's it for? This shampoo is designed for all men but made specifically for those with oily hair.
Texture and fragrance: This product has a gel-consistency which produces a full, thick lather that you're going to want. The scent isn't anything specific but smells super manly. However, a few reviewers found the scent to be too strong for them.
Ingredients: Though you will find plenty of other ingredients in this product, the most important are the sodium laureth sulfate, caffeine and menthol. Just a warning, though, since it has menthol make sure not to lather your body with it. Places might get tingly that you don't want getting tingly. A recent study published in the British Journal of Dermatology found that when a small amount of caffeine is applied to hair, it stimulates hair growth and extends the time the hair follicles remains in their growth phase. Bottom line: this shampoo can help with those of you losing hair.
As a bonus, the formula contains sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), which is a better and less irritating ingredient instead of its cousin - the cheaper sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Also, this shampoo is a 2-in-1. We love the shampoo and conditioner combos because it saves you from having to use two products. With this, you can shampoo and condition at the same time and that's always nice, isn't it?
Price: At $9 a bottle, this is the cheapest shampoo on our list. However, if you are comparing the price per ounce, you're better off with something else. This product is $0.76 per ounce and others on our list are cheaper. Still, for those who don't want to spend a lot, this product is a great option.
