Easiest Hydro System for Hobby Gardeners
- A reliable, durable bucket-style system
- Six buckets, meaning more growing space
- Highly efficient pump
Six-bucket system, easy to connect, low-profile buckets, comes with everything required for assembly, integrated deep water culture system, heavy duty lid and reservoir, and solid bucket-style system.
Loud air pump and may require more tubing than is provided.
Setup: Setting this system up will take a bit more time, due to the fact that you'll need to connect six buckets to their respective tubes leading to the air pump. You'll also need to fill all the buckets, add the growing media and plant nutrients to the lids, and put everything in the right place before switching on the pump. However, though setup is a bit more time-consuming, it's simple and straightforward.
Ease of Use: The system is beautifully easy to use once it's set up. You'll need to refill the buckets once every few days, but you'll find there's not much more to do than check to make sure the plants are getting enough nutrients (using the pH test kit). The system is designed for minimum fuss, making it ideal for those who want to grow plants without spending hours in a garden.
Capacity: Each of the six buckets comes with a durable lid, complete with a 6" hole for storing the growing media and plant nutrients. Though each bucket may not be able to hold a lot of plant life, the fact that there are six of them means you get a lot of growing space—up to 20 or 30 small-sized plants in total.
Price: At $110, this is on the pricier side of things, but totally worth it if you want to grow a lot of plants very easily.
