Best Carry On Luggage for International Travel
The top opening is unique for hard-case carry ons and the smooth-rolling wheels are an extra benefit. It’s a great price for an airline-compliant piece.
The zippers aren’t the best (and can be difficult to close at the corners), and you will either love or hate the front pocket.
- Rated #8 in 8 Best Carry On Luggage Brands
This is fantastic for traveling overseas. Besides fitting into the airline restrictions, it’s relatively lightweight and comes with a reasonable price tag. The wheels are smooth and the handle makes this a comfortable bag to maneuver through terminals.
We appreciate the expandable ability of the bag – that’s 2”, but it does mean you will need to check it. But, the best feature is the top opening aspect of the bag – that can make a big difference in tiny spaces and it’s unusual for hard-shell bags and the protection they come with.
Durability and construction: 100% polycarbonate which is strong, lightweight, and resistant to scratching.
Design: Hard-shell wheeler
Dimensions: 19" x 13" x 9". It should fit in just about every airline’s overhead bin.
Weight: 7.5 pounds. That’s right down the middle.
Pockets and storage: There’s an interior zip pocket, but we love the large front pocket with a built-in padded sleeve that will fit a laptop up to 15.6”.
Handles and wheels: The telescopic handle fits comfortably into your hand and remains that way whether you’re pushing or pulling. As you can guess, the wheels allow easy maneuverability in any direction – and they’re super silent.
Security: There’s a built-in, recessed TSA-approved lock.
Colors available: Black, navy, platinum, and purple
Price and warranty: The MSRP is $320, but you really shouldn’t have to pay that price. Depending on the color you choose, you should expect to pay between $80-$120. With that, you get a limited 10-year worldwide warranty.
