Why people love it

Cons

It’s expensive for a start. And, sadly, its 2 wheels don’t offer the same maneuverability as bags with multi-directional wheels.

Details

If you’re on and off of planes constantly, you need a bag that will withstand the test of time – or at least a warranty that will fix damage (even when it was caused by the airlines). With this incredible carry on, you get both. Zipped to its standard size, it fits comfortably into the overhead bins, but you can also expand this bag by 25%.

The Outsider handle means there’s more flat packing space on the inside. We like the built-in garment bag – and the exterior pockets are particularly useful (especially the sunglasses case). While it is rather expensive, it will pay for itself if you travel frequently and we think that makes this an investment rather than a splurge.

Durability and construction: A ballistic nylon outer fabric covers a lightweight fiberglass frame. Together, you can expect a durable, flexible piece that resists wear.

Design: Soft-case wheeler

Dimensions: This measures 22” x 14” x 9” which is exactly the airline maximum for carry ons. But, the additional outer handles pushes it just over the edge. You shouldn’t have any problem getting it into the overhead bins, but try to avoid pushing it into the sizing bins in front of airline staff.

Weight: It definitely is not the lightest at 9 pounds 3 ounces. We truly wish this was lighter.

Pockets and storage: There are 2 interior pockets along with a built-in garment bag. This carry on luggage also features Outsider® and SpeedThru™ exterior pockets for quick access to documents and necessities, including a sunglasses case. Which is kind of awesome.

Handles and wheels: The Outsider® handle retracts completely, surrounding and bracing the super sexy sunglass case at the back, but the side handle is what pushes this just over 14”. The wheels only move in one direction, but they’re exceptionally smooth.

Security: There aren’t any built-in locks, but the YKK zippers are designed for adding your own lock.

Colors available: Available in black and olive.

Price and warranty: Okay, it is expensive at $500. But, wait, it comes with a "Simple as That" guarantee. The manufacturers will repair damage to your bag – even if it was caused by an airline. And they’ll do that for life. Wow!
