This machine is one of the quietest available in this price range, and it's also one of the biggest. It can take a full 16 place settings - and it has that coveted third rack for silverware which is a rarity under $1000. The control panel is on the top of the door which is great because it is certainly nothing to look at. But, although the control panel isn't all that sexy it does have a button for all 6 of its wash settings, plus the features, so you don't have to scroll to find what you want. It does a great job of cleaning at annual cost of $31 with an electric water heater or $24 with a natural gas water heater. The major drawback is the lack of ENERGY STAR rating - or the recessed handle which not everyone loves. Otherwise this is likely to be the biggest most efficient machine in this price range.
