If you're going to work out at home, you're going to need the right equipment. This means that you will probably want to look into buying:
- A set of dumbbells
- A barbell
- Free weights
- Resistance Bands
- Kettlebells (optional)
All of this equipment is necessary, but the one thing you absolutely need is a weight bench. It's useful for just about every exercise, and it's probably the only piece of strength training equipment you truly need.
The weight bench is used primarily for the bench press, the single most effective chest exercise. You also use it for Skull Crushers and Dips (triceps), Leg Extensions (quads), and many, many more.
