Why people love it

  • Truly works
  • Relieves serious itchiness
  • Perfect for dry skins

Cons

It doesn’t work for everyone. Some sensitive skins find this doesn’t help and sometimes makes it worse.

Details

Not only is this recommended by dermatologists, it’s one of the few creams that seems to work on nearly everyone (this writer included). It relieves the dryness, and subsequently the itchiness through the combination of oatmeal and ceramides. Plus, Aveeno has long partnered with the National Eczema Association; you kind of have to like that.

Although you’ll find there are less expensive creams on the market, it’s usually not by so much that you’ll feel the need to rule this out. We especially like that it works on dermatitis and it’s a fantastic preventative treatment after it clears the existing problem. And, it will definitely do just that; indeed it’s likely to work faster than far more expensive creams.

What’s inside (and what isn’t)? Inside, you’ll find natural colloidal oatmeal and ceramides. What you won’t find are parabens, steroids, or added fragrances.

Who’s it for? Works on all skins, including babies and children.

Consistency and fragrance? A thick and creamy, fragrance-free lotion.

Will it break the bank? It costs a little less than $11 for 7.3 ounces; that’s about $1.50 per ounce. It’s not bad. There are less expensive products, mind you, but it’s not terribly expensive at all. It’s also available as a Subscribe & Save product on Amazon to save a little more.
