Love your pets? You’re not alone! The ASPCA estimates that as many as 80 million dogs are kept as pets in the United States. Even more of us are cat lovers according to their reports – with 96 million cats as pets.

For many, cats and dogs are part of the family; it would be impossible to consider life without them.

But, that doesn’t mean we can’t make life with them easier. Just think about the hair-free rooms you can come home to now that Roomba can tidy up during the day (side note, if you're a pet parent and don't have a robotic vacuum yet, find the perfect one here).

Toby Nwazor at Huffington Post clearly knows all about it. He lists an automatic dog feeder as one of the best automated life gadgets. Of course, he suggests using automatic pet feeders for getting the amount of food right every time.

Cats have different needs. (No surprise there.)

That’s the big difference between dog owners and those that need an automatic cat feeder. Many cat owners report being able to sleep in after bringing home an automated feeder. And, these are generally used for longer periods too. You can do that with cats. Additionally, cats often have different dietary demands – and strong wills. (We still love them though.)

And though someone still needs to let the dog out (though you could go all out with the fencing and the doggie door if you want), an automatic feeder will allow you to easily cross one more item off your to do list. And for your reference, petfinder.com suggests that feeding your dog twice a day is quite enough.

But no matter why you’re looking for an automated pet feeder, we’ve got the best of them here. Of yes, we’ve put weeks of work into finding the best – and most reliable pet feeders in every price range. We think you’ll love the top Fave!
