You know that flushing your toilet wastes a lot of otherwise useable water. This clever gadget saves the day - and it's wildly inexpensive. Simply fill the Toilet Tank Bank and hook it inside your toilet cistern. This product displaces about 80% of a gallon in the tank so it's not used when you flush. Now, it doesn't give you the same control as dual flush systems, but it will work until you're fully prepared to upgrade your system.

What Reviewers Say:

People love this product because it's inexpensive and does the job. Here's what they say about Niagara Toilet Tank Bank:

  • Now that I've ordered one of this and am pleased with it, will order another for our other bathroom. This is a very inexpensive product that will help conserve water when you flush your toilet. It's a simple concept, it works and as mentioned very inexpensive. You fill the pouch as instructed, you place it on the side of your tank and folks, it's just that easy!
  • We had been given some information about "Toilet Tanks" and began reading about them but was still ho-hum about dropping something into the Toilets Tank not thinking that it would matter all that much. We had read the many do not's about placing things into the Tank. But recently our local Government got involved in the Water Supply and Cost of it. So we dropped a couple of these into a purchase them later mode here on Amazon until recently when things here started to heat up about the Water-we purchased them and within a couple of days we had them filled them to the "Fill Here" Line, flushed the Toilet and placed the Toilet Tank Bank. My mind never pictured the amount of Water it would displace. But, when I saw where the Water was prior to placement and where it was after placing the TTB I wondered what took us so long. If you're an enviromentalist or NEEDING to conserve, which-ever state you're in, start with these Toilet Tank Banks. They're easy to fill, seal and place-not to mention the amount of Water you will not use.
  • We have had this in our tank for 2-3 months now and have noticed a huge difference in water usage.

You have to shower every day, but that doesn't mean you don't feel a little guilty wasting all that water. Now, you can have an incredible shower experience and save water when you need to... all you have to do is change the dial on this shower head. It's easy to change, don't worry. More importantly, this feels more like a spa shower than a meagre drizzle and that counts.

What Reviewers Say:

With the totally respectable rating of 4.8 stars on Amazon, it's no wonder you see reviews like these:

  • The best part, of course, is how well it works. We each tried out the different spray modes. I like the "relaxing coarse spray" most, and my husband likes that but prefers the "high pressure drenching spray." Both modes have great water pressure. I also used the drizzle mode while shaving, which used much less water without having to turn off the water then warm it up again to rinse.
  • I researched shower heads for a long time here on Amazon before settling on this one. I didn't want to spend more than $40 so at $39.99 this one was within budget and the incredible reviews helped to seal the deal for me.
  • The box contains very clear instructions (which I didn't have to use, but I appreciate the clarity anyway) and a small roll of teflon tape (a thoughtful addition - makes installation really painless). Even with the flow restriction in place I get good pressure, so I'm just going to leave it in there. I still prefer the mode that uses the entire head, but other family members really appreciate the other modes. Only unfortunate thing is that now the kids want to use my shower! I give this shower head 5 stars for performance and value.

Usually, we don't need nearly as much water as we use to wash our hands... or the dishes. The easiest way to cut your water usage is the clever installation of aerators on the faucets in your home. Really, that's all it takes. Not only does this reduce the flow of water, it makes it feel softer. How cool is that? This 6-pack is easy to install and has some solid reviews behind it.

What Reviewers Say:

With a very respectable 4.5-star rating on Amazon, you would expect to hear good things, right?

  • I bought these thinking, for the price, it's worth a shot. I was extremely impressed. It doesn't have one big flow of water like a higher GMP aerator, instead it sprays the water out like a shower head. I thought that might be annoying at first, but it really makes the pressure feel nice. We get plenty of water out of these and the fact that it's saving a lot of water is excellent. I've already recommended them to friends and family as a cheap, easy, no-brainer way to save on your water bill and save the environment!
  • I live in a condo and do not pay water bill however when we make a basic calculation you will see it equally beneficial to your budget as well. I have 6 faucets at home (kitchen and bathroom together) and without aerator they have a flow rate of about 4 gallon per minute. Assume that a family spends 20 minutes a day having taps on (at minimum) in total for washing hands, face or brushing teeth. Regular taps would lose 80 gallons while aerator fit ones would lose 10 gallons. Each day a family saves 70 gallons and this makes over 25500 gallons a year. The cost of water is $1.5 for 1000 gallons and so this makes a minimum saving of $38.25. Considering this water is mostly warm water, you will also save from the heating costs and plus will conserve thousands of gallons of water for the nature. It is such a win win win situation.
  • I have to say that I was surprised by these little devices. At $2.00 each they are well worth the investment.

Sometimes it rains so much in summer that you can't believe just how much water is wasted. At other times, we know you wish you could conserve every drop of rain water possible. Both are great reasons to invest in a water diverter. Rather than letting all that water head into the ground under your spout, you can place your watering can (or, better yet, a rain barrel) under this spout. Save the water for that moment when your plants need it the most - or use it for outdoor cleaning jobs (like your car). Brilliant, right?

Now, you will need to install it, but most reviewers report it to be an easy process.

What Reviewers Say:

75% of Amazon reviewers give this water-saving product a full 5 stars. We love that!

  • With $900 dollar water bills here in Houston, Texas - I had to do something besides use city water. This ugly metal thing works great! I looked at the other diverters & when I saw how poorly they collected water, clipped on to drains with flimsy plastic clips - I knew it would not survive one rain storm here in Houston. So far no rust or problems, you just have to paint it the color of your drains (paint it twice, once when it is closed & once when it is open) because it stands out with its ugly metallic grey ... so I had it painted yellow and now people don't even notice it until they are standing right next to it ... then they say wow, cool ... now you don't have to pay the city to water your garden. That is right, no more money for the city of Houston. Now my outrageous water bills are $28 to $52 dollars per month, much more affordable - all due to getting as much water as possible into my rain barrels.
  • This one--Save the Rain Water Metal Diverter--works wonderfully and efficiently, and is easy to install. (I have both the 2x3 and 3x4 inch sizes).
  • This is vastly superior to what we were previously using as a diverter for the rain barrel on our deck. Simple to install and simple to use. Our rain barrel fills up in 5 to 10 minutes in a heavy rain and then we just close it. Highly recommend!

This incredible dual flush converter allows you to just use a small amount of water when you don't need a great big flush. Of course, that option is still available when you need it; don't worry! With a dial to control water usage, you still have full control over your toilet - and there's nothing to remove. If you're serious about saving water, this is one of the quickest and easiest ways to make that happen.

Tap-n-Flush can save up to 70% of the water in your toilet tank on any given flush. That's incredible... and why people rave about this product. There's also a 2-year warranty to sweeten the deal.

What Reviewers Say:

80% of Amazon reviewers give this a full 5-star rating. That's rather impressive for any product, but especially a home improvement one. Here's what they say:

  • The fist unit I installed took 15 minutes, which is what the instructions indicated. Some tank designs will take longer and if you really want to dial in your maximum savings you can certainly spend more time. The second system I installed too less than 10 minutes. I switched the short flush and the long flush settings, since I figure most of the flushes are for liquid waste. I understand why they designed it the other way but for us this makes more sense. I face, for most of our "solid waste" flushes the short flush is sufficient. When it was all said and done, the short flush saves us 66% of the water and the long flush saves us 33%. When compared to other systems, where you rely on a new flush valve seating with your old toilet has the potential for introducing a new leak. In contrast, this system uses a weight to close your existing flapper. If anything this could help prevent leaks.
  • What I like about the Tap-n-Flush: one box contains pretty much everything you could possibly need to get this device to work. No running to the home improvement store or rooting through your toolbox to find an extra piece. I can tell the inventor really considered every possibility.
  • Thought it would be more difficult to install than it was. Don't be scared by the large amount of accessories it comes with. 90% of toilets take about 2 minutes to install.

This has to be one of the coolest gadgets we've ever stumbled upon. Rather than saving water while you're in the shower, this baby saves the water you waste before you get in the shower. All you need to do is turn on the water, when it's warm enough, this adaptor stops the water flow until you're ready to get in. Actually, it slows to a trickle, and it's that sound that will alert you. Brilliant right?

What Reviewers Say:

People love this gadget and many believe it to be one of the best water saving gadgets you can get today. Here's what they think:

  • Simply put, it works. It also seems a little magical. How can a little mechanical device stop the water flow when the water gets hot enough? No idea, but it does it.
  • I purchased this EVOLVE shower valve to see if I could save on my water bill as I was used to starting my shower and forgetting it was running . I would get in after about 10-15 minutes and realized by that time I had been running water down the drain as well as HOT WATER DOWN THE DRAIN. In the 7 months I have used this I have seen the lowest water bills and lowest electric bills I have had since moving here 10 yrs ago.
  • Awesome product that should be mandatory in California!

It doesn't matter how large your lawn is, you want to keep it looking lovely for as long as it's green (and that's not to mention the landscaped areas of your property). An irrigation system is the best way to do that and an automatic system easiest way to do that. Still, you don't want to just set it and leave your irrigation system on a timer when you know it's likely to rain for half the week. Rachio understands your problem.

This smart gadget connects to your WiFi and automatically adjusts watering times and amounts based on local weather conditions. You can control and check data from your phone or laptop when you like, plus it connects to NEST, Wink, Control4, IFTTT and other top tier home automation systems. Plus, many customers report saving as much as 30% on this part of their water bill. (And that's the point, right? Not just the cool home gadget and app.)

What Reviewers Say:

This product has an impressively high review score on Amazon, but then again, it's easy to see why:

  • Once installed, I powered-up and used the "blink up" process to connect the IRO to my wireless network (make sure you connect to a 2.4GHz network, doesn't support 5GHz). Worked first time. Then the app walked me through the setup. Very slick app and it works very well. Rachio also provides web access, and there are cool features like "landscaper access" where you can email a link to someone that (temporarily) will give them control via their smartphone. This is helpful if you need to have contractors service your sprinkler system while you're not home.
  • Same as all others here. I have been running the IRO for about 4 months now with many significant benefits and zero issues. Great product and eliminates yet another major pain in modern life. I actually have the 16 zone version with 9 zones turned on. Haven’t touched the control unit once since I installed in about 20 minutes. I love the setup and the application to name your zones, set the ground type, get recommendations, set the rain predictor threshold, etc. I use to get either dead grass in the middle of summer with too little irrigation or too many mushrooms from too much irrigation in the spring. Not anymore. The history and reports are great but there is much more beyond water savings and automatic seasonal adjustments.
  • After having the unit for 2 months, we are THRILLED! Love the push notifications that the app sends me letting me know what zones have been watered or not, depending on the smart weather data for the day. Although we are engineers (computer and electrical), we aren't the "handiest" of people (read, we don't like manual labor). My husband installed the Rachio and its outdoor housing in just 2 or 3 hours. We haven't had a single problem. Seriously, this is the Nest of irrigation controllers. I spent days researching and made a very cool spreadsheet comparing and contrasting every smart irrigation controller available. I have to say, without a doubt, we made the right decision.
