We wouldn’t believe it if you told us that you don’t know anyone who wouldn’t appreciate a video game this season. It’s almost statistically impossible. Here’s the thing though, the stores all start playing fast and loose with their prices on these items as soon as we cross the Black Friday and Cyber Monday threshold. That’s because they’re betting on you valuing your time more than your money on the tried and true gifts. They know you’re not going to shop around when it comes to gifts in this price range. (Hint: That goes for books, movies and board games too.)
Instead, you’ll get the occasional sale leaflet, but the deal will never be as good. Why? Stores and manufactures use Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales to gauge demand and they raise their prices from that point on. Don’t believe it? You don’t have to. But, just think about how much your time is worth before you pass these video game deals by.
